Families Visit Lamb's Farm / Las familias visitan la granja de Lamb
FIND PI families enjoyed a day at Lamb's Farm in Libertyville. This trip was made possible by the generous donation of discounted tickets from Lamb's and a community grant from the Palatine Jaycees.

Rolling Library at POC for the FIND Program
Karyn Baldwin, a Hoffman Estates Girl Scout, donated a rolling library to the FIND PI program at POC to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award. She spent over 80 hours designing and putting together this mobile library with books in English and Spanish and books on CD. Families at POC will be able to check out books and cds from the cart she built. Kudos to Karyn for a job well done!
Read for the Record Campaign
The Rand Grove Promise to Play group participated in the Read for the Record campaign. They helped break the record of over 2 million children who read this year's selection, Llama Llama Red Pajama.
Pilot Brian Henning reads a big book about the airport to the families at POC where they took an imaginary trip to the airport.
Animal experts Jack Kohlstedt and Alex Lemcke brought snakes and spiders to POC.
Families learned about their care and feeding and got to hold and pet them.
Northwest Cook Leaders Group Held a Family Services Day at the East Apartments in Rolling Meadows
FIND PI and ECDEC had an information booth there and ran children's activities including face painting, sidewalk chalk painting and parachute play.
FIND PI Trip to Brookfield Zoo
Tickets were donated by Brookfield Zoo and the bus was paid for by a grant from the Palatine Rotary Club.
Field Trip to the Palatine Public Library

Infant Massage Workshop for Parents
Parents and their infants participated in a workshop on infant massage at the Palatine Opportunity Center and Edgebrook given by Kris Rauchert from Firman Community Services.
